Baking frame raising slats

With these raising slats you can raise your canvas or panel so that it fits more neatly in a box frame. These slats come in pairs; we recommend them only for a rigid panel or stretched canvas. If the panel is more flexible (like a canvas board), we recommend a mounting frame. (Coming soon)

The thickness of the slats is 15mm, ideal for the average panel thickness.

An ideal solution for raising a standard canvas with a 21mm wooden frame or a 25mm thick aluminum frame (with a wooden strip on the outer edge) so it fits snugly in a 3D float frame. If you combine these slats with a 25mm thick frame, the float frame will be perfectly level with the front of the canvas.

Instructions for use

1. For a canvas, first screw the slats to the top and bottom of your canvas. Then, use screws to drill through the box frame into the frame.

2. For a wooden panel or canvas board, glue the slats to the top and bottom of the panel with wood glue. Let it dry, then screw it to the frame.
